Dates

The Summer 2023 program will run from Sunday, May 28th, 2023 to Saturday, August 12th, 2023. The summer housing registration forms ask registrants to provide expected arrival and departure dates within this range.

Those who are affiliated with the University (NYU Students, or anyone taking classes, volunteering, or working at NYU this summer) may choose to arrive up to 7 days early, starting on Sunday, May 21st, 2023, and depart up to 4 days late, ending on Thursday, August 17th, 2023. The extensions account for the dates of NYU summer coursework orientation and exam periods.

There is no deadline for non-NYU students to register for summer housing, but please be aware that our residence halls may fill.

Reservation Flexibility

Individual residents may select any arrival and departure dates that fall within the NYU summer and change their dates of stay without impacting their housing or dining rate (not applicable to participants of Group Housing Blocks). After registering for housing, if you need to change your reservation, please submit change requests on the housing portal opens in a new window as soon as possible and no fewer than 7 days in advance.

Rates

All summer residents are charged a flat rate by room type for their summer in NYU Housing.

If a registrant will be enrolled in coursework for only one half of the summer, they can register to stay for the corresponding dates and provide enrollment verification to be charged a partial-summer rate.

Residents in traditional style accommodations (no kitchens) are required to maintain a meal plan during the summer.
