Athletics

NYU’s athletic facility access is a complimentary service for summer residents (excluding conference guests). Residents under 18 years of age should check with their program regarding access. All athletic facilities on campus require an NYU ID card opens in a new window to enter. Visit NYU Athletics opens in a new window for locations and summer hours of operation.

NYU Summer residents will also be able to register for two complimentary Barry's Bootcamp opens in a new window classes during their summer at NYU - the promotion will be held in early June during a two week period. Signup information will be emailed to eligible summer residents prior to its commencement.

NYU Bobst Library

NYU faculty and students are able to access the library. For information about access for non-NYU community members, please review the visitor access information for students and faculty from other institutions opens in a new window.

Faculty, students, and professional staff at SHARES member institutions opens in a new window outside the New York metropolitan region are allowed access on a semester basis with valid school ID. To apply for access, or for any access questions, please email bobst-access@nyu.edu at least 7 days in advance of your visit.

Laundry

Every residence hall is equipped with washers and dryers operated by the Hercules App opens in a new window. Visit your hall’s resource center (front desk) for the location of the laundry facilities in your building.

Utilities & Internet

Utilities such as water, electricity, and NYU Wifi opens in a new window are included. All residence halls are air conditioned.

Mail & Packages

NYU summer residents receive mail at their hall the same way they would in an apartment building. We provide a mailbox for each suite (key or combination code provided upon check-in) and notify residents when a package is ready for pickup.

When a package arrives at the residence hall, it is stored at the resource center (front desk) until the resident checks it out with their NYU ID during resource center hours. Residents can only pick up packages after receiving a package arrival email from their residence hall.

NYU cannot accept mail or packages for residents until they have checked into the building, so if a package arrives for a resident who has not yet arrived, it must be returned to sender. For this reason, please do not send mail to your residence hall until you have officially checked in.

Write your address in this format:

  • Name: Write your full name as you provided it to NYU. You do not need to include NYU or the hall name.

  • Room Number: Find your room number in your pre-arrival notice.
  • City, state zip: Check your zip code on your hall webpage opens in a new window or in your pre-arrival notice.

Maintenance

Maintenance is available at every residence hall. In order to request a repair in your suite, residents can submit a service request form opens in a new window during business hours. Requests for repair are generally responded to within a 24- to 48-hour period.

For emergencies such as major leaks, flooding, broken door locks, or any other immediate concern, please notify the residence hall staff or campus safety officer immediately.

Recreation Rooms
