Am I eligible for NYU Housing?
Housing residents must be a legal adult (18+) by the time their reservation starts, or, if participating in an NYU High School Program housing reservation, at least 15 years old by the time their reservation starts.
All residents must have health insurance valid in the state of New York or sufficient financial resources for a medical emergency.
What’s my NYU affiliation status?
Your affiliation with the University determines which buildings you are eligible to live in as well as the dates of stay you are eligible to select. Affiliation statuses are self-reported but verified internally before the start of the summer and on a rolling basis. You are considered NYU-affiliated if you are taking classes, volunteering, working, or participating in a program at NYU this summer. If you are not doing any of those things, you are considered Not Affiliated.
