Summer Housing in Washington DC

NYU Washington DC

In conjunction with NYU Global Programs, we are excited to offer matriculated NYU students the opportunity to live in Washington, DC this summer at the Constance Milstein & Family Global Academic Center, conveniently located at 1307 L Street, NW in the heart of Washington, DC and only a short walk to the McPherson Square Metro Station.

The NYU-DC Summer Housing application is now available. The priority deadline for submission is May 3, 2021.

Eligibility

Summer Housing in Washington, DC is available to matriculated NYU students who will either be enrolled for coursework, participating in an internship or participating in other educationally related activity in the Washington, DC area during their residency.

Space for NYU students is limited and subject to availability.

Non-NYU students are not eligible to apply to live in the Washington, DC facility at this time.

Accommodations

Most accommodations are furnished single bedrooms in two-person suites. Each suite includes a full bathroom, kitchenette (no oven), and a living/dining area. NYU wireless service is available throughout the building. Each floor has a lounge with cable TV. All suites are air-conditioned.

NYU-DC also has a very limited number of single studios, subject to availability.

A live-on Residential Life Coordinator, as well as residential life staff, oversee community development, crisis response, and other student life initiatives. 24 hour security is provided and all guests must be signed in.

Dates

NYU Summer Housing in Washington, DC is available from Sunday, May 23 to Friday, August 13, 2021. The minimum stay requirement is four consecutive weeks.

Reservation Payment

You are required to pay a $500 reservation payment to secure your housing and to receive an assignment. Instructions on how to submit your reservation payment can be found here.

Managing Your Reservation

To make any adjustment to your reservation, including cancellation, please send an email to summer.housing.dc@nyu.edu if you have any questions regarding your summer housing. Your email should include your name and NYU ID.

Cancellations

The schedule of cancellation charges is listed below. Students may cancel any time prior to arrival. No refund is given if cancellation occurs on or after arrival day. Please email summer.housing.dc@nyu.edu if you wish to cancel your summer housing reservation at NYU-DC.

Cancellation charges are assessed as follows:

Cancellations received by April 15, 2021
$50 charge
Cancellations received on or before May 15, 2021
$125 charge
Cancellations received after May 15, 2021
$500 charge

Anticipated Construction

Some areas of NYU-DC will be under renovation during Summer 2021. We will try to minimize all disruptions to your stay and ask for your patience and understanding as we continue to improve our facilities. NYU-DC has also been informed by a neighboring building of construction work planned for their building during Summer 2021. Please be advised that construction is permitted within the District of Columbia from 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday - Saturday.

COVID-19 Protocols

All students will be assigned to single bedrooms only. All residents at NYU-DC will be required to follow COVID-19 protocols for testing, wearing of face coverings, and physical distancing, as mandated by the District of Columbia and NYU. NYU-DC staff will contact you prior to your arrival to ensure all requirements have been fulfilled and to detail testing and quarantine procedures, if applicable.

Summer Course in Washington, DC
