Summer Housing Overview

Apply for Summer Housing

How to Apply: NYU Students

We are no longer accepting applications for the Summer 2022 program.

Living in NYU Summer Housing does not require enrollment at NYU. Current NYU students are guaranteed on-campus housing during the summer as long as they complete a Summer Housing application and pay the required $500 reservation payment.

Affiliated Applicants

During the summer, most NYU students are considered affiliated as long as they are either continuing Fall 2022 NYU students or, if not enrolled for the Fall, are taking an NYU course, working for NYU, or participating in an NYU program during the summer. Applicants who do not meet these criteria are considered Non-Affiliated.

Check-ins are on Sundays and check-outs are on Saturdays. We can accept late check-ins and early check-outs; however, students will be charged for full weeks regardless of actual nights of stay.

Summer Housing is available to any applicant from Sunday, May 29, 2022 through Saturday, August 13, 2022 (view the calendar). NYU-affiliated applicants can check in one week early on Sunday, May 22nd. Current Spring 2022 residents with Summer Housing stays beginning Week 1 will receive transition instructions from their residence halls.

Summer 2022 rates are per person, per week.

Summer Meal Plans

All residents assigned to a traditional residence hall will be assigned to the 8 meal plan (8 meals and $30 Dining Dollars per week). Residents assigned to a traditional hall must maintain a meal plan.

Not all dining halls are open during the Summer Session; however, NYU Dining still offers a variety of options. All dining locations accept cash, credit cards, Campus Cash, and Dining Dollars.

Please visit Summer Dining for information about summer meal plans, weekly rates, and hours.

Changes and Cancellations

Residents may cancel reservations at any time prior to summer check-in, but will be assessed a cancellation fee.
